Yup, when Amazon says it's long and oversized, you better believe it is. See attached pics where it's our 9-yr old wearing the jacket. We got size Large because that's the size for 9-yr olds according to the chart. And it turns out that the jacket is quite roomy! Granted, our 9-yr old is undoubtedly a petite one. Long jackets are fine but I think the sleeves are a wee bit long on this one. In the pics, we rolled them a couple of times. Good for winter, but I wouldn't dare face just about any winter with it. There certainly is enough room to layer up without feeling too bulky. But even then, I'd hesitate if in windy conditions. Thank God our winters are mild! This product is well assembled. The zipper is big and smooth. The quilting produced a diamond-shaped pattern all over the jacket. And because the sewing is straight and evenly stitched, it's a neat pattern. The cuffs at the end of the long sleeves have elastic bands to close them. The top of the hoodie has an elastic band to bring it down, so it won't point upwards and redirect every little breeze onto one's forehead. The pockets openings each have a snap button fastener. I intentionally bought this a size too big as by the time this is needed - growth! However, if you need it for this season you might want to size down as it does seem oversized. It will be great for kids in sports who have to sit on the sidelines in the fall, because the length will keep their legs warm on the benches or bleachers. Or for those that have to wait at cold bus stops; so many kids' jackets end at the hips but this is closer to the knees. And it is good for layering since it is a bit oversized. The quality of the jacket is excellent, as has been my experience with all Amazon Essentials clothing. This would easily get through a Southern winter or a Northern fall; if you live up North you'll definitely need to layer during winter time. Weiterlesen

The sizing is way off! We ordered a small (which came with a 6-7 years tag on it), but it's way too big and would probably be better suited for a young adult. Aside from the sizing issue, the jacket is well stitched, the color is pretty, and the material has a nice weight to it. This jacket would be ideal for spring and or the rain. Giving it 4 stars because of the sizing. I like it otherwise, but my nephew just can't wear it without drowning in it. And he's on a bigger side for a 6 year old. Just note that when your order. This jacket is super cute and nice and I want to love it, but the sizing is totally off. I ordered a kids small and the tag says US 6-7yrs, but it fits me… an adult who normally wears a L/XL. However, the sleeves are too short for it to be wearable for me. I wanted this for my kiddo, but it is way too big. Sizing chart needs a do-over. Weiterlesen
